This shot was taken by Paul the official photographer at Ballerat Wildlife Park on my visit there in January 2013.

Although the place looked a bit run down…the animals especially kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and wombats seemed to be well looked after and healthy.

The intention was to have a photo taken with the smallest wombat, but she was feeding at the time…so I got Boo instead. Although she isn’t fully grown…as you can see from the photo…she is quite a handful…and very heavy.

She followed Paul around like a pet dog…and was more interested in nibbling the hairs on my bare legs than sitting still for a photograph. Wonderful creature!
